Another CMC Rescue innovation thoroughly field tested by CMC Rescue School instructors and now widely being used by rescuers worldwide, the newly adjustable Sunbrero fits over your helmet to block the sun from your face, ears, and the back of your neck. Its black undersurface prevents sun reflection, and it also works well in the rain. Made of durable, 1,000-denier CORDURA® nylon fabric, the Sunbrero has an elastic band with hook-and-loop adjustability, which grips your helmet and secures to the headlamp retainer clips on most helmets.

Often the solution to navigation in an unknown structure with poor visibility is a small cord attached at the entrance and deployed as a firefighter moves through the building, so he can retrace his steps to the entry point or be located by a Rapid Intervention Team. With a carabiner on each end, a partner’s line can be attached to yours to extend the distance. The 50 ft. length works well for residences and small structures. Our new edge kit includes CMC’s 8-mm specialty cord with a breaking strength of 22 kN (4,946 lbf.), which provides nearly 50 feet of edge restraint when attached to a secure anchor. Connect the ProTech Auto-Lock Carabiner to an appropriate anchor, then use the included 5-mm Purcell Prusik with 7-mm Oval Quick Link to attach to your harness and you’ve got a sliding, adjustable personal anchor. Aztek Omni Pulley System is a configured "set-of-fours". This system will allow the rescuer greater versatility using a personal mechanical advantage system for rigging and rescue. The Omni pulleys are machined from solid block of high strength aluminum and are engineered for over 8,000 lbf (36kN). The swivel prevents binding up of ropes and eas of movement.
